Responsibilities
- Manage and execute complex federal financial transactions including payroll, procurement, and disbursements
- Analyze financial data to ensure compliance with federal regulations (GAAP, FFMIA, and DoD directives)
- Develop and maintain financial reports for congressional oversight and agency leadership
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency
- Serve as a subject matter expert on federal financial systems (e.g., SAP, DELPHI)
- Conduct internal audits and financial reviews to identify risks and implement corrective actions
- Train and mentor junior staff on federal financial management best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 3 years of federal financial management experience
- Proficiency with federal accounting systems and financial reporting tools
- Certified Financial Manager (CFM) or DAWIA certification preferred
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
- Excellent communication skills for presenting complex financial data
- Knowledge of DoD financial regulations and compliance requirements
