Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic communication plans for federal initiatives across Texas and Georgia
- Manage media relations including press releases, interviews, and public statements
- Coordinate crisis communications protocols during emergency situations
- Analyze public sentiment and policy impact to inform senior leadership decisions
- Oversee social media strategy across federal platforms (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn)
- Collaborate with state/local government partners on joint public awareness campaigns
- Prepare detailed briefings for congressional stakeholders and agency leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Administration, or related field
- Minimum 3 years government/public affairs experience
- Proven crisis communications and media management expertise
- Active security clearance (or ability to obtain immediately)
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and CMS platforms
- Strong understanding of federal procurement and compliance regulations
- Bilingual English/Spanish required for Texas regional focus
- Experience working with FEMA, CBP, or DHS programs preferred
