Responsibilities
- Analyze legislative trends and regulatory impacts at federal, state, and local levels
- Research and evaluate policy options using quantitative and qualitative methodologies
- Develop comprehensive policy recommendations and implementation strategies
- Prepare detailed reports, memoranda, and presentations for decision-makers
- Coordinate stakeholder engagement and public consultation processes
- Monitor budget allocations and fiscal implications of policy decisions
- Collaborate with interagency task forces on regional initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Urban Planning, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of government or public sector experience
- Expertise in policy analysis frameworks and research methodologies
- Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, ArcGIS)
- Knowledge of California's legislative process and municipal governance
- Valid California driver's license
