Responsibilities
- Analyze federal legislation and regulatory frameworks to assess impact on Illinois constituents
- Research and draft policy memoranda, briefing papers, and legislative recommendations
- Coordinate with congressional offices, federal agencies, and state partners on policy initiatives
- Monitor emerging policy trends and provide strategic guidance to leadership
- Develop testimony and reports for congressional hearings and stakeholder briefings
- Manage stakeholder engagement across government, private sector, and community organizations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of federal government or policy analysis experience
- Deep understanding of federal legislative processes and Illinois state-federal dynamics
- Expertise in quantitative/qualitative research methodologies
- Exceptional written communication and briefing preparation skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain federal security clearance
