Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive primary care services to military personnel and veterans
- Coordinate interdisciplinary treatment plans with specialists and mental health professionals
- Maintain electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with HIPAA and DoD regulations
- Lead public health initiatives for military families in the Long Beach area
- Participate in emergency preparedness drills and disaster response protocols
- Mentor junior healthcare staff and conduct continuing education workshops
- Collaborate with VA medical centers for veteran care coordination
Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
- Active, unrestricted medical license in California
- Board certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
- Minimum 3 years of clinical experience in federal or military healthcare
- Current DEA registration and BLS/ACLS certifications
- Ability to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance
- Proficiency in DoD EHR systems (MHS Genesis preferred)
- Demonstrated commitment to military/veteran healthcare advocacy
