Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain electronic health records (EHR) systems in compliance with HIPAA and federal regulations
- Implement health information technology projects to improve data accessibility and security
- Conduct audits of health records to ensure accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance
- Provide training and support to clinical staff on health information management systems
- Collaborate with IT and clinical teams to optimize health information workflows
- Ensure data integrity and security across all veteran health information platforms
- Stay current with evolving federal health information policies and standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or related field
- RHIA (Registered Health Information Administrator) certification required
- Minimum 2 years experience with electronic health record systems (EHR)
- Expert knowledge of HIPAA and federal health information regulations
- Experience implementing health information technology projects
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and data accuracy
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced federal environment
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain federal security clearance
