Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure federal IT systems in compliance with FISMA and NIST standards
- Manage network infrastructure including servers, databases, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Provide Tier 3 technical support for critical VA applications and telehealth systems
- Conduct security assessments and vulnerability remediation for classified data systems
- Lead cross-agency IT modernization projects using Agile methodologies
- Develop disaster recovery plans and conduct regular system testing
- Mentor junior IT staff and maintain comprehensive documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in federal IT infrastructure management
- Active Secret security clearance (or ability to obtain one)
- Certification in CompTIA Security+ or CISSP
- Expertise in Windows Server, Linux, and virtualization technologies
- Experience with FedRAMP compliance frameworks
- Demonstrated project management skills (PMP or similar certification preferred)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities in high-pressure environments
