Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure federal IT systems and networks.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal regulations, FISMA standards, and agency security protocols.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior staff members on federal projects.
- Conduct system audits, risk assessments, and vulnerability testing to protect sensitive data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to modernize legacy systems and improve operational efficiency.
- Respond to critical system outages and perform 24/7 on-call rotations as required.
- Document technical processes and maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging federal technology trends.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in federal or state-level IT management or systems administration.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in cloud technologies (AWS, Azure) and virtualization platforms (VMware).
- Strong understanding of ITIL frameworks and project management methodologies (PMP certification is a plus).
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
