Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain federal network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and servers, ensuring 99.9% uptime.
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for end-users and federal applications.
- Implement and monitor security protocols to comply with federal IT security standards (FISMA).
- Conduct regular system audits and software updates to mitigate vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and streamline workflows.
- Document all technical processes and maintain detailed system logs for audit purposes.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.
- Proven experience with federal IT systems, preferably within the Department of Veterans Affairs or similar agencies.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Server 2016/2019, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Experience with project management methodologies (Agile/Scrum) is preferred.
