As a night shift specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the security and integrity of federal data systems during low-traffic hours. You will work in a high-tech environment with state-of-the-art equipment, contributing to national security objectives.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and Manage Network Traffic: Oversee network operations, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and ensure 24/7 system availability.
- Implement Security Protocols: Enforce federal cybersecurity standards, conduct vulnerability assessments, and respond to security incidents.
- Configuration Management: Update firewall rules, manage access controls, and maintain server configurations to meet strict compliance requirements.
- Incident Response: Rapidly identify, diagnose, and resolve technical issues to minimize downtime.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed logs and technical documentation of all system changes and incidents.
Qualifications
- Security Clearance: Active Top Secret clearance or ability to obtain one (Secret clearance with TS eligibility is a plus).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in federal IT environments or similar high-security operations.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in TCP/IP, VPNs, and federal networking protocols (e.g., FISMA, NIST).
- Shift Requirement: Must be willing and able to work the night shift (typically 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
