Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure IT infrastructure for federal clients in Raleigh and surrounding regions.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and perform regular security audits to ensure compliance with federal standards (FISMA).
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for complex network systems, hardware, and software applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deploy scalable solutions that enhance agency efficiency.
- Document system configurations, operational procedures, and technical manuals for future reference and training.
- Monitor system performance metrics and proactively address potential outages or security breaches.
- Train junior staff and provide technical guidance on best practices for federal data management.
Qualifications
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen to meet federal employment requirements.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field is required; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in IT systems administration, cybersecurity, or network engineering.
- Certifications: Active Security+, CISSP, or GS-7/9 equivalent technical certifications are strongly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in cloud computing platforms (AWS/Azure), virtualization technologies, and scripting languages (Python/PowerShell).
- Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret or Top Secret security clearance.
