Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end IT project lifecycles for federal systems, ensuring alignment with DHS mission objectives
- Manage budgets, timelines, and resources for complex technology deployments across multiple agencies
- Coordinate with federal stakeholders to define requirements, deliverables, and success metrics
- Implement risk mitigation strategies and ensure compliance with federal IT security standards (FISMA, NIST)
- Oversee vendor relationships and contract management for technology solutions
- Generate comprehensive project documentation including status reports, risk assessments, and post-implementation reviews
- Mentor junior project staff and foster continuous improvement in project delivery methodologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Project Management, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience managing IT projects in federal/state/local government
- PMP certification or equivalent federal project management credentials
- Demonstrated expertise in Agile/Scrum methodologies and federal procurement processes
- Strong understanding of federal IT compliance frameworks (FISMA, NIST, CUI)
- Experience with enterprise-level project management tools (MS Project, Jira, ServiceNow)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance
- Exceptional communication skills for interfacing with senior leadership and technical teams
