Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain federal IT security protocols across classified and unclassified systems
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on agency networks
- Develop incident response plans and coordinate cybersecurity breach mitigation
- Ensure compliance with NIST, FISMA, and federal cybersecurity frameworks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance security posture
- Monitor security alerts and analyze threat intelligence data
- Train personnel on cybersecurity best practices and security awareness
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 3 years of cybersecurity experience in government or regulated industry
- Security+ CE or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and network security protocols
- Knowledge of federal IT compliance standards (FISMA, NIST SP 800-53)
- Active Secret security clearance (or ability to obtain)
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and zero-trust architectures
