Responsibilities
- Design and implement enterprise-level cybersecurity solutions across federal networks
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical systems
- Develop incident response protocols and lead security breach mitigation efforts
- Ensure compliance with NIST, FISMA, and federal security regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into system architectures
- Train personnel on cybersecurity best practices and threat awareness
- Monitor security alerts using SIEM tools and analyze threat intelligence
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 3 years of cybersecurity experience in federal or regulated environments
- Active CISSP, CEH, or Security+ certification required
- Proficiency in network security tools (e.g., Splunk, Palo Alto, Fortinet)
- Knowledge of federal IT security frameworks (NIST SP 800-53, FISMA)
- Ability to obtain and maintain Secret security clearance
- Strong analytical skills and experience with security incident response
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation
