Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain NIST cybersecurity frameworks across VA infrastructure
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on federal systems
- Develop incident response plans for cybersecurity threats
- Manage identity and access control systems (IAM) for 500+ users
- Collaborate with DoD partners on joint security initiatives
- Ensure compliance with FISMA and CMMC requirements
- Mentor junior security analysts on federal protocols
Qualifications
- Active Secret security clearance (minimum)
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of IT security experience with federal systems
- CompTIA Security+ and CISSP certifications required
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, ArcSight)
- Familiarity with FedRAMP and DoD ACSS frameworks
- Experience with Azure cloud security implementations
- Strong analytical and documentation skills
