Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain cybersecurity frameworks to protect federal systems and data
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on agency networks
- Develop incident response plans and lead security breach mitigation efforts
- Monitor security alerts and ensure compliance with NIST and FISMA standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security protocols into IT infrastructure
- Train federal employees on cybersecurity best practices and threat awareness
- Manage security documentation and audit compliance reports
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in IT security or cybersecurity roles
- Valid CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ certification required
- Experience with federal security protocols (NIST, FISMA, CUI)
- Proficiency in security tools: SIEM platforms, firewalls, IDS/IPS systems
- Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux systems and network architectures
- Active Secret security clearance (or ability to obtain)
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass federal background investigation
