Role Overview:
The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, driving the modernization of state systems.
Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth analysis of complex business requirements to define technical specifications and system architecture.
- Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of software development, including design, coding, testing, and deployment within a secure government environment.
- Ensure strict compliance with state security protocols, data privacy laws, and federal IT standards (FISMA).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot critical system failures and implement high-availability solutions.
- Document technical processes and create training materials for internal staff and external agency partners.
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee third-party system integrations to ensure project milestones are met.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in technical analysis, systems architecture, or software engineering.
- Proven track record of working in a regulated environment, preferably within the public sector or government.
- Expert proficiency in modern programming languages (Java, .NET Core, Python) and relational databases (SQL, Oracle).
- Strong knowledge of cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
