Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor NIST security controls across federal IT systems
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Develop incident response plans and coordinate breach mitigation
- Manage security compliance for FedRAMP and FISMA requirements
- Train federal staff on security best practices
- Collaborate with DHS cybersecurity leadership on strategic initiatives
Qualifications
- Active CISSP or Security+ certification
- Minimum 5 years federal IT security experience
- Expert knowledge of FISMA and NIST frameworks
- Secret security clearance (Top Secret preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or related field
- Experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, ArcSight)
