Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze network traffic to identify security anomalies and potential cyber threats.
- Implement and maintain security controls in accordance with NIST and DoD frameworks.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on federal systems.
- Respond to and remediate security incidents and system breaches promptly.
- Manage user access controls and ensure compliance with identity management policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
- Prepare and maintain detailed incident reports and risk assessments.
Qualifications
- Active Secret or Top Secret clearance (or eligibility to obtain).
- Minimum of 4 years of IT experience with a focus on cybersecurity.
- Certification: CompTIA Security+ or higher (CISSP, CEH preferred).
- Experience with federal security standards (NIST 800-53, FISMA).
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VPNs, and firewall configuration.
