Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain NIST-compliant cybersecurity frameworks for federal systems
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on classified networks
- Develop incident response protocols and lead security breach mitigation
- Manage identity and access control systems for 500+ federal employees
- Collaborate with DOD IT teams on secure cloud migration strategies
- Provide security awareness training to department personnel
- Ensure compliance with FISMA, CUI, and HIPAA regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years experience in IT security with federal/government clearance
- Security+ CISSP or CompTIA Security+ certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM platforms (Splunk, ArcSight) and network security tools
- Demonstrated experience with zero-trust architecture implementation
- Active Secret security clearance (Top Secret preferred)
- Knowledge of DOD RMF and NIST SP 800-53 controls
