Responsibilities
- Safeguard classified DoD networks against cyber threats using NIST frameworks
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on government systems
- Implement zero-trust architecture and multi-factor authentication protocols
- Manage incident response for security breaches and coordinate with federal agencies
- Develop and maintain security documentation (RMF packages, SSPs, POA&Ms)
- Mentor junior staff on cybersecurity best practices and compliance standards
- Collaborate with DoD leadership on security strategy and policy implementation
Qualifications
- Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance (mandatory)
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of federal IT security experience with DoD systems
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent
- Expertise in Risk Management Framework (RMF) and NIST SP 800-53
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, ArcSight) and vulnerability scanners
- Strong knowledge of FedRAMP and DoD cybersecurity directives
- Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance
