Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize municipal IT infrastructure including servers, networks, and cloud platforms
- Implement and maintain robust cybersecurity protocols aligned with federal standards
- Provide technical support to city departments and troubleshoot complex system issues
- Develop and execute disaster recovery plans for critical government systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on technology modernization initiatives
- Ensure all systems comply with Texas state and federal regulations
- Document IT processes and create comprehensive system documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in government IT or regulated industry environments
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent cybersecurity certification required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Azure and enterprise network administration
- Experience with ITIL framework and service management best practices
- Strong problem-solving abilities with excellent communication skills
- Valid Texas driver's license and ability to travel between city facilities
