Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain federal IT systems ensuring compliance with FISMA and NIST standards
- Implement cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive veteran health information
- Coordinate with cross-agency teams on system integration projects
- Provide technical support for VA medical center operations
- Develop documentation for system upgrades and disaster recovery plans
- Train staff on new IT security procedures and technologies
- Monitor system performance and optimize network infrastructure
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- 3+ years of experience in federal IT infrastructure management
- Active Security+ or CISSP certification
- Familiarity with VA-specific IT systems (VistA, EHR)
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) in government contexts
- Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust clearance
