Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify security gaps in federal networks.
- Implement and maintain security controls in accordance with NIST SP 800-53 and FISMA compliance standards.
- Manage and secure cloud environments (AWS/Azure) handling sensitive federal data.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for mission-critical federal applications and systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design secure architectures and incident response plans.
- Document security protocols and maintain accurate audit trails for federal inspection.
Qualifications
- Clearance: Active Top Secret (TS) or Secret clearance required.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in federal IT environments or cybersecurity.
- Certifications: CISSP, Security+, GSEC, or equivalent DoD 8570 compliance.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with network security tools (FireEye, Splunk, etc.) and strong knowledge of encryption standards (PKI, AES).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical reporting to stakeholders.
