Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and security audits on federal information systems in accordance with NIST and FISMA standards.
- Monitor network traffic and analyze security alerts to detect, identify, and respond to cyber threats in real-time.
- Implement and maintain robust cybersecurity protocols and incident response plans.
- Manage vulnerability scanning processes and oversee the remediation of identified security gaps.
- Provide technical guidance and training to federal personnel on security best practices and compliance requirements.

Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in federal or government IT environments, with a focus on cybersecurity.

- Certifications such as Security+, CISSP, or relevant federal IT skill levels (e.g., GS-7 equivalent).
- Active Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain one prior to start date.
