Role Overview
The Federal IT Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the seamless operation of government information systems. You will work in a fast-paced environment supporting high-stakes missions.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain federal information systems, ensuring 99.99% uptime.
- Conduct security assessments and ensure compliance with FedRAMP and NIST standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new IT solutions.
- Document technical requirements and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
- Troubleshoot complex network issues and resolve critical system failures.
- Support the migration of legacy systems to cloud-based architectures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Active Top Secret Security Clearance (or eligibility to obtain).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in federal contracting or similar environments.
- Proficiency in Python, Java, or C# for system integration.
- Strong understanding of Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting to senior officials.
