Responsibilities
- System Maintenance: Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain federal information systems to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Security Compliance: Implement and enforce security protocols to comply with federal standards (e.g., NIST, FISMA).
- Technical Support: Provide advanced technical support to federal employees regarding hardware, software, and network connectivity.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of system configurations, incidents, and resolutions in the Federal Incident Reporting System.
- Upgrade Management: Assess, recommend, and implement hardware and software upgrades to enhance system performance.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to support federal agency initiatives and project deadlines.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or a related technical role.
- Certifications: Active Security+ or CISSP certification is highly preferred.
- Clearance: Current Secret or Top Secret clearance is required.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft Office Suite, and networking fundamentals.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
