Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain federal IT systems in compliance with NIST and FISMA standards
- Provide technical support for VA healthcare applications and network infrastructure
- Implement cybersecurity protocols and conduct vulnerability assessments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on system upgrades and compliance initiatives
- Document technical procedures and maintain system documentation
- Support disaster recovery planning and business continuity operations
- Ensure all IT activities adhere to federal procurement regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in federal IT systems administration
- Active Security+ or CISSP certification
- Familiarity with VA-specific IT systems (Vista, VistA)
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and hybrid environments
- Knowledge of federal acquisition processes (FAR, DFARS)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
