Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure IT infrastructure for federal clients, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Conduct system audits and security assessments to ensure compliance with FISMA, NIST, and other federal regulations.
- Provide technical troubleshooting and Tier 3 support for complex network and hardware issues.
- Manage and configure network security protocols, firewalls, and VPNs to protect sensitive government data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and improve legacy systems.
- Document technical processes, configurations, and incident reports in accordance with agency standards.
- Participate in incident response teams to mitigate and resolve security breaches or system outages.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent technical experience).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in federal IT environments, systems administration, or cybersecurity.
- Active Top Secret Security Clearance (or the ability to obtain one).
- Proficiency in managing Windows Server, Linux, and virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Strong knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols.
- Experience with ITIL framework and incident management processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
