Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain critical IT infrastructure, servers, and networks during the night shift to ensure 99.9% uptime for federal clients.
- Respond to and resolve complex technical tickets and system alerts in a timely manner, prioritizing security protocols.
- Perform routine system backups, patch management, and security audits to comply with federal regulations (NIST).
- Collaborate with day-shift teams to hand off escalated issues and ensure seamless service continuity.
- Document all system changes, incidents, and resolutions in the IT Service Management (ITSM) system.
- Conduct physical security checks and ensure access controls are maintained for the facility.
Qualifications
- Active Secret or Top Secret Security Clearance (required for federal roles).
- Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; or equivalent technical experience.
- 3+ years of experience in IT support, system administration, or network operations.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and network protocols.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently during night hours.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting to stakeholders.
