Responsibilities
- Manage and secure federal IT infrastructure including cloud systems and network architecture
- Implement zero-trust security frameworks and incident response protocols
- Coordinate with federal agencies on cybersecurity threat intelligence sharing
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing of critical systems
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery/business continuity plans
- Ensure compliance with NIST FISMA and federal cybersecurity standards
- Mentor junior IT staff and document technical procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in federal IT security administration
- Active CISSP or Security+ certification (CompTIA)
- Expertise in AWS/Azure cloud security and FedRAMP compliance
- Ability to obtain and maintain Secret clearance
- Experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and threat detection
- Strong knowledge of NIST SP 800-53 security controls
