Responsibilities
- Manage Network Infrastructure: Oversee the daily operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of federal network systems to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Security Compliance: Implement and monitor security protocols in compliance with FISMA and NIST standards to protect sensitive government data.
- System Administration: Administer Windows and Linux servers, managing user access, permissions, and identity management (Active Directory).
- Ticket Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for IT support tickets, prioritizing and resolving technical issues for federal employees efficiently.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed technical documentation, including network diagrams, standard operating procedures, and incident reports.
- Cross-Agency Collaboration: Partner with state and local agencies to ensure interoperability of federal systems and share best practices.
- Vulnerability Assessments: Conduct regular security audits and penetration testing to identify and mitigate potential risks.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field required.
- Clearance: Active Top Secret Security Clearance is mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in federal IT environments or comparable technical roles.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python, C#, or Java, and experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) is highly preferred.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Agility: Ability to adapt to changing federal regulations and emerging technologies quickly.
