Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 2/3 technical support to federal employees, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
- Manage and monitor ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow) to ensure rapid response times and issue resolution.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal IT security policies, NIST standards, and agency-specific regulations.
- Perform routine system backups, patch management, and preventative maintenance on workstations and servers.
- Assist in the deployment, configuration, and imaging of new hardware and peripherals for federal facilities.
- Document technical procedures and maintain accurate logs of all service requests and resolutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve IT service delivery and user satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Security Clearance: Active Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain one is required.
- Education: Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent military/technical experience).
- Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in IT support, helpdesk, or systems administration within a government or enterprise environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Linux operating systems.
- Networking: Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, and network troubleshooting methodologies.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with senior government officials.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work on-site in Colorado Springs and support varying shift requirements as needed.
