Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 2/3 technical support and troubleshooting for federal government hardware, software, and network systems during weekend operations.
- Monitor and maintain critical IT infrastructure to ensure 99.9% uptime for sensitive government data.
- Perform system patches, security updates, and backups to prevent downtime and data loss.
- Document all incidents, resolutions, and maintenance logs in the Service Desk ticketing system.
- Deploy and configure new workstations, printers, and peripherals for federal personnel.
- Collaborate with the on-call team to resolve escalated technical issues and server outages.
- Ensure strict adherence to federal security protocols, NIST standards, and compliance regulations.
Qualifications
- Candidate must currently hold a Secret Security Clearance (or higher) or be eligible to obtain one.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in IT support, systems administration, or help desk operations.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Active Directory, Windows Server 2016/2019/2022, and Office 365.
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP networking, VPNs, firewalls, and endpoint security.
- ITIL Foundation certification (or equivalent experience) is highly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience in a federal environment).
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently in a remote or hybrid weekend setting.
