Position Summary:
The IT Support Specialist will provide technical assistance to federal employees, ensuring system availability and security. You will be the first line of defense for hardware, software, and network troubleshooting during weekend operations.
Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 2 technical support for hardware, software, and network issues for federal staff.
- Monitor system health and perform routine maintenance to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Document all incidents, resolutions, and maintenance logs in the Service Desk database.
- Assist with software installations, security patching, and hardware upgrades.
- Collaborate with the central IT team to resolve complex infrastructure challenges.
- Enforce IT security policies and conduct compliance checks during shift hours.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Bachelor's preferred).
- 1-3 years of experience in IT support, Help Desk, or technical support roles.
- Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot independently.
- U.S. Citizenship is required for this federal contract position.
