In this role, you will oversee the daily operations of federal client networks, ensuring 99.9% uptime and strict adherence to federal compliance standards. You will act as a technical lead, mentoring junior staff and deploying cutting-edge security solutions to protect sensitive data.
Responsibilities
- Manage and Maintain Federal Networks: Oversee the configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of server infrastructure, LAN/WAN environments, and cloud systems.
- Implement Security Protocols: Enforce federal cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, CUI) and manage firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
- Incident Response: Lead the response to IT incidents and security breaches, conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
- System Upgrades & Deployments: Plan and execute hardware and software upgrades, ensuring seamless transitions with minimal downtime for federal personnel.
- Documentation & Compliance: Maintain detailed technical documentation, system diagrams, and audit logs to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Vendor Management: Coordinate with third-party vendors and contractors to resolve complex technical issues and service outages.
Qualifications
- Citizenship Requirement: Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible for a Top Secret clearance.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent military experience.
- Certifications: CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or equivalent ITIL certification is required.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in federal IT environments or similar high-security sectors.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS).
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to brief senior leadership and stakeholders.
