Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive security patrols of federal facilities during overnight hours (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Monitor surveillance systems and respond immediately to security breaches or suspicious activities
- Enforce access control protocols and verify credentials for all personnel entering secure areas
- Prepare detailed incident reports and maintain accurate security documentation
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during emergency response situations
- Operate advanced security equipment including CCTV, alarm systems, and metal detectors
- Conduct regular safety inspections and implement corrective actions as needed
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship (required for federal employment)
- Valid state driver's license and clean driving record
- Minimum of 2 years security or law enforcement experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance
- Physical fitness to stand/walk for extended periods and respond to emergencies
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and security management software
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during night shifts
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree preferred
