Responsibilities
- Program Management: Assist in the coordination and execution of federal outreach programs for veterans in the Sacramento area.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for external partners, ensuring clear and timely communication of program goals and deadlines.
- Compliance & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of program activities and prepare weekly/monthly reports for federal oversight bodies.
- Event Coordination: Organize and facilitate local community events and informational sessions, managing logistics and staffing.
- Administrative Support: Manage correspondence, maintain the shared calendar, and process travel vouchers and expense reports in accordance with federal regulations.
- Data Entry: Update the VA's internal database with participant information and ensure data integrity and confidentiality.
Qualifications
- Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship is required for this federal position.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in administrative coordination or program support within a government or non-profit setting.
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with database management systems.
- Clearance: Ability to pass a background check and obtain a Public Trust clearance.
- Flexibility: Must be available to work a set part-time schedule, typically 20-25 hours per week.
