Responsibilities
- Process and maintain accurate weekly payroll for federal employees and contractors.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal regulations, including the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and agency-specific pay policies.
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and answer employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, and tax information.
- Manage timekeeping systems, including reviewing timesheets for accuracy and approval.
- Collaborate with the HR department to maintain up-to-date personnel files and salary adjustments.
- Prepare monthly payroll reports and analyze data for budgeting purposes.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or HR is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll processing or government contracting.
- Familiarity with federal pay scales (GS) and regulations is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in payroll software such as ADP, Workday, or SAP.
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.
