Responsibilities
- Administer and process pension benefit applications, withdrawals, and survivor claims with high accuracy.
- Perform nightly data reconciliation and verification of retirement account records.
- Provide exceptional customer service to retirees via phone and secure email systems during evening hours.
- Ensure strict compliance with state pension regulations, reporting standards, and internal controls.
- Maintain accurate, confidential, and organized electronic and physical records.
- Assist in the analysis of pension trends and assist in the preparation of monthly/nightly reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in pension administration, retirement systems, or government financial operations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and pension management software.
- Ability to work independently, efficiently, and accurately during night shift hours.
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional problem-solving skills.
