Responsibilities
- Review and process pension applications, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and internal policies.
- Conduct thorough audits of pension records to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Communicate complex pension information to retirees and beneficiaries in a clear, empathetic manner.
- Collaborate with legal and finance teams to ensure adherence to ERISA and IRS guidelines.
- Manage data entry and update beneficiary information in secure federal systems.
- Resolve escalations and complaints regarding pension claims and payouts efficiently.
- Stay updated on changes in federal legislation affecting retirement plans.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in benefits administration, payroll, or pension management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Familiarity with federal government systems and retirement plan structures is highly preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and regulations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to security protocols.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP software.
