Responsibilities
- Assist federal employees and retirees with inquiries regarding Federal Employees Retirement System (FERS) and Thrift Savings Plans (TSP).
- Process pension applications and update beneficiary information with high accuracy and strict confidentiality.
- Communicate complex pension regulations to applicants in clear, understandable language.
- Manage incoming calls and emails, prioritizing urgent retirement requests and maintaining high customer satisfaction scores.
- Collaborate with the payroll department to ensure accurate pension calculations and disbursements.
- Conduct basic data entry and maintain digital records of all pension transactions.
- Stay updated on federal retirement policy changes and assist in training new staff members.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) is mandatory.
- Basic computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
