Responsibilities
- Administer federal pension plans (FERS, CSRS) ensuring full compliance with ERISA and OPM regulations
- Process retirement applications, benefit calculations, and survivor benefit claims with precision
- Conduct plan audits and risk assessments to identify compliance gaps and implement corrective actions
- Develop educational materials and provide guidance to federal employees on retirement planning
- Collaborate with OPM, Treasury, and legal teams on policy updates and legislative changes
- Manage pension fund investments and reporting in accordance with federal fiduciary standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Actuarial Science, Public Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in pension administration or federal benefits management
- Deep knowledge of federal retirement systems (FERS/CSRS), TSP, and OPM regulations
- Professional certification (CEBS, ASPA, or similar) preferred
- Advanced proficiency in pension management software (e.g., PeopleSoft, Oracle HCM)
