Responsibilities
- Administer federal pension plans including TSP, FERS, and CSRS with strict adherence to federal regulations
- Conduct eligibility determinations and benefit calculations for 10,000+ federal employees
- Coordinate with OPM and agency HR teams to resolve complex pension disputes
- Develop and implement compliance audits for multi-state pension portfolios
- Train federal employees on retirement planning and benefits optimization
- Manage system interfaces with payroll and HRIS platforms
- Prepare annual fiduciary reports for congressional oversight committees
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, HR, Public Administration, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of pension/benefits administration experience, preferably in federal sector
- Deep expertise in ERISA, OPM regulations, and federal retirement systems
- SPHR, SHRM-SCP, or CEBS certification required
- Proficiency in benefits administration software (e.g., Benefitfocus, Workday)
- Strong analytical skills with experience in regulatory compliance auditing
- Ability to handle confidential information with utmost discretion
- Clearable federal background investigation required
