Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee federal pension plan compliance with ERISA and OPM regulations
- Process retirement applications and benefit distributions with 99.9% accuracy
- Conduct comprehensive eligibility audits for federal employees and agencies
- Develop and implement strategic plan improvements using advanced analytics
- Collaborate with OPM and Treasury on policy updates and system integrations
- Train agency HR partners on retirement plan procedures and documentation
- Lead crisis response for pension-related inquiries and disputes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in pension plan administration or federal benefits
- Advanced certification (SPHR, CERA, or Federal Benefits Specialist)
- Expertise in ERISA, OPM retirement systems, and federal pay regulations
- Proficiency with federal HR systems (e.g., NSPS, OPM systems)
- Exceptional analytical skills with complex financial data interpretation
- Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust security clearance
