Responsibilities
- Administer and oversee federal pension plan operations ensuring regulatory compliance
- Conduct complex financial analysis for multi-billion dollar retirement portfolios
- Develop and implement pension policy recommendations to Congress and agency leadership
- Investigate and resolve pension disputes with federal employees and agencies
- Collaborate with OPM and Treasury on retirement system modernization initiatives
- Prepare comprehensive reports for congressional oversight and public transparency
- Lead cross-functional teams on pension system audits and improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of pension plan management or federal retirement benefits experience
- Expert knowledge of ERISA, CSRS, FERS, and federal pension regulations
- Professional certifications (SPHR, CEBS, or CFP) highly desirable
- Advanced proficiency in federal financial systems (e.g., MAX, HRIS)
- Ability to obtain and maintain Secret security clearance
- Exceptional analytical skills with experience in large-scale data analysis
- U.S. citizenship and eligibility for federal employment
