Responsibilities
- Monitor and audit multi-employer pension plan financial reports for compliance with ERISA and IRS regulations
- Investigate potential plan insolvencies and recommend corrective actions to trustees
- Conduct on-site examinations of plan operations and recordkeeping systems
- Develop enforcement strategies for fiduciary violations and prohibited transactions
- Collaborate with state agencies and labor unions on pension reform initiatives
- Prepare comprehensive compliance reports and recommendations for senior leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Actuarial Science, Law, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of pension plan administration, auditing, or regulatory experience
- Expert knowledge of ERISA, PBGC, and IRS pension regulations
- Strong financial modeling and data analysis skills using Excel and specialized pension software
- Active federal security clearance (or ability to obtain one)
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills for complex stakeholder interactions
