Responsibilities
- Administer federal pension plans including Thrift Savings Plan (TSP) and Federal Employees Retirement System (FERS)
- Conduct audits and compliance reviews for pension fund operations
- Advise federal employees on retirement planning, benefits options, and eligibility requirements
- Develop and implement pension policy improvements aligned with federal regulations
- Collaborate with HR and finance teams to resolve complex pension-related inquiries
- Prepare detailed reports on pension fund performance and regulatory compliance
- Train federal employees on retirement planning tools and benefits resources
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Public Administration, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in pension plan administration or benefits management
- Deep knowledge of federal retirement systems (FERS, TSP, CSRS)
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in pension management software
- Excellent communication abilities for employee training and policy explanations
- Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) or SHRM-CP preferred
- Ability to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance
