Responsibilities
- Administer federal pension plans according to OPM regulations and ERISA guidelines
- Conduct comprehensive benefit calculations and retirement eligibility assessments
- Advise federal employees on pension options, survivor benefits, and retirement planning strategies
- Develop and maintain accurate participant records in HR systems and databases
- Collaborate with finance teams for pension fund reconciliation and reporting
- Implement policy updates and ensure compliance with federal retirement legislation
- Prepare detailed benefit statements and annual pension plan summaries
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in pension plan administration or benefits management
- Thorough knowledge of federal retirement systems (FERS, CSRS) and ERISA
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, HRIS systems, and pension administration software
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex regulations
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement and policy explanations
- Professional certification (e.g., CEBS, QKA) preferred
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain federal security clearance
