Responsibilities
- Administer federal pension plans per OPM regulations and agency policies
- Process retirement applications with 99% accuracy within 30-day SLA
- Advise employees on pension benefits, TSP options, and retirement planning
- Conduct quarterly pension fund audits and compliance reviews
- Collaborate with HR/finance on pension-related reporting and forecasting
- Develop training materials for pension plan changes and updates
- Manage pension claims appeals and dispute resolutions
- Stay current on federal pension laws (CSRS, FERS, TSP)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, HR, Business Admin, or related field
- 3+ years of pension administration or benefits management experience
- Familiarity with OPM retirement systems (e.g., HRIS, HRConnect)
- Series 7 or 63 securities license preferred
- Advanced Excel/Power BI skills for pension data analysis
- Strong written/verbal communication for employee training
- Federal background investigation clearance eligibility
- Proven ability to manage confidential financial data
